Nerve Salad Back when Doom was Doom, and not the tortuous term it has now become to describe anything with a heavy sound, there were bands that actually felt like they could force the life from you. While not exactly one of those bands of yore, Giant Squid are fully immersed in the feel of what Doom used to do for me. So beautiful, grandiose, exotic, and layered with unusual instruments. Dazzling Avant Garde musicianship, bordering on serious Prog, but never strays from the darkness. Beyond incredible.
